The Revolution will not be televised--Occupy Cleveland

. . .more pictures from yesterday's Occupy Cleveland. . .hey, they're trying. . .

. . .the more things change, the more things remain the same. . .

I haven't given Alvin Lee's (Ten Years After) song any thought at all until yesterday. . .this song would get no play today because it isn't politically correct. . .still. . .go over to Songfacts and it has drawn 47 comments. . .what really strikes me about this song is the chorus. . .

"Id love to change the world
But I dont know what to do
So I'll leave it up to you"

Whether the kids and people on Public Square in Cleveland were there for whatever reason--political change, social change, people watching, or maybe just thinking it's "their" time to make a difference of some kind. . .there is plenty of food for thought. . .but, I'm pretty sure things are so complicated that nobody really knows what to do--and I'm also pretty sure we will leave it up to. . .somebody.  .  .else. . .

I'd Love to Change the World

Everywhere is freaks and hairies
Dykes and fairies, tell me where is sanity
Tax the rich, feed the poor
Till there are no rich no more

Id love to change the world
But I dont know what to do
So Ill leave it up to you

Population keeps on breeding
Nation bleeding, still more feeding economy
Life is funny, skies are sunny
Bees make honey, who needs money, monopoly

Id love to change the world
But I dont know what to do
So I'll leave it up to you

World pollution, theres no solution
Institution, electrocution
Just black and white, rich or poor
Them and us, stop the war

Id love to change the world
But I dont know what to do
So Ill leave it up to you
